Google Apps GTalk won't verify
Hello, I used notify.me for my google account via GTalk notifications, and athena worked perfectly. However, now that I moved to Google Apps, I keep trying to verify the account and it won't work.

My username is "umjeremy" and I'm trying to use the GTalk integrated client in the Gmail service hosted by Google Apps. I have previously had success using the sidebar GTalk client in regular Google Gmail. However, once I switched to Google Apps, Athena won't validate.

We will be conducting maintenance on our jabber accounts over the next 48 hr period, during this time we will transition your google apps jabber account to a new server. Once the transition is complete we hope you will receive an authorization request from zeus [at] agents.notify.me. If this fails to address your issue we should be able to diagnose it more easily since you will be on a new less trafficked server.

Can you talk to users on any other Xmpp servers? I tried sending you an authorization request from support@agents.notify.me and assume that you did not get that either. Can you try adding support@agents.notify.me to your buddy list, so we can see if we can get our servers talking?
Also, something else that was strange is that zeus has your account in its roster twice, both marked that it has sent out the request. What's strange is that the roster should be using the account as the key, preventing multiple entries. Any chance that your username or account is defined with some unprintable characters? -

For everyone with GApps, the answer is here: you have to make technical changes to the SRV records of your Google Apps account:

I am sorry that it's been such a pain and I do appreciate that you came back and posted the response in the forums for the benefit of others.
However, we have no insides with Google Apps so technical support for configuration of their service to talk to other services in general, not us in particular, does kind of fall outside the scope of what we can be expected to support. Especially, since we've had a number of Google Apps users for whom it worked (who must have already set up their SRV records).
