Google Voice SMS Support?
Will there be support for sending SMS notifications to Google Voice numbers? Will it have to wait until notify.me switches to direct-SMS instead of email-to-SMS gateways?

Inappropriate?Can you send email-to-SMS to Google Voice numbers? I'm not a GrandCentral user so I don't have access to the system. Being google and based around total connectivity I would assume that they will provide an email-to-sms gateway.

A little digging through the Google Voice Help Forum suggests that there is no SMS-to-email gateway. Hardeep (below) is correct that GrandCentral provided such a feature, but unfortunately it is also correct that the feature went away in the transition to Google Voice.

They 1st had 1 email for every Grandcentral number which was grandcentralno@grandcentral.com and it came to our registered email. But after Google voice came in the feature was discontinued. Also I was 1 of those few people who could send SMS to email from Google Voice account and those people patched that loophole so iits not possible
but the email came from 15855424453@txt.voice.google.com
and the reply to this would fail. So ya its confirmed that they do not have email-to-sms gateway now.
I also was having the same feature request. Please do that if you can.

I am in India using Vodafone and I tried several times but did not get the Validation code.
What could be the cause for it?
I have put the correct no with selecting the correct service provider

Do you have an email address associated with your vodaphone number? If so please attempt sending yourself an sms via email and then let us know what the email domain is.
