Multiple IM notifications.
I am receiving multiple notifications to Google Talk. I get three copies of each new item. When I look in my notify.com history each item only appears once.

Inappropriate? You seem to have gotten caught by an unfortunate sync issue that happens sometimes between xmpp servers (the back-end that gtalk uses).
We try to monitor all connections you have for availability and only send notifications to those that are marked available. You had 5 IM connections marked as available and I assume two of those were stale information and no longer connected.
When you send a message to a connection that is no longer connected, the xmpp server will multiplex that message to all connections that are still connected. I.e. you would have gotten one message directely to google talk and two copies that got sent to google talk because they couldn't reach the other connections.
Generally, sync eventually catches up, but we are working on ways of being more aggressive in determining stale connections.
Your issue should now be resolved, but please let me know if the problem persists

Looks like that was it. I was actually logged into three chat clients (BlackBerry, Gmail, and gadget). I logged out of one but it didn't seem to make a difference, at least right away. I guess everything is caught up now. Thanks much. -
Inappropriate?I am also having this issue, except today I received over 40 messages in my Google Talk. I'm as well logged in with Blackberry, Gmail, and sometimes a client. But it's getting excessive.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hello Trae,
Try typing in reset and see if that clears up the problem.
