Settings to use port 443 in Pigin
How should I configure things in Pigin to slip through firewalls that block all ports but 443 and 80? I've been able to configure Pigin to connect to Google's XMPP network; however, I can't connect to notify.me using similar settings. Specifically, I have set the following in the advance tab for the notify.me account:
Require SSL/TLS: unchecked (I also tried w/ this checked)
Force old (port 5223) SSL: checked
Allow plaintext auth over unencrypted stream: unchecked
Connect port: 443
Connect server: notify.me (I also tried secure.notify.me)
File transfer proxies: proxy.jabber.org
BOSH URL: blank
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated!
(BTW, I looked for Pigin's logs, but only found chat related logs; if they would be helpful and you know where they are, please let me know.)
TIA!

Inappropriate? If you've got pidgin working with your google talk account, you can simply make your IM destination the google talk address, for example jondoe@gmail.com can be your destination address.
Let me know if that works for you.
Cheers,
