Social Media Integration
Now that I have set up this account and linked it with my Ping.fm, will updates from friends and fans on social media sites show up in my feed on this site or do I have to still manually check individual sites?

Inappropriate?The ping.fm option is to send notification updates to your social networks. So I think it is the opposite of what are describing above.
What you can do is add all the feeds from your various social networks into notify.me and all updates will show up on this here. Here are a couple use cases to help you out. http://wiki.notify.me/Use_Cases
