update all your social networks with notify.me
With notify.me you can now update all social networks through ping.fm.
So what is ping.fm?
ping.fm is a service that allows you to update your status on 30 + social networks (such as twitter, facebook, brightkite, linkedin, etc..) from one central location.
You might be asking yourself why would I setup notify.me with ping.fm? Say you have a picasa or flickr account to which you post photos to, or maintain your own blog, well now you can use notify.me's ping.fm integration to automagically post the updates to all your social networks when you upload a new photo album or make a new blog posting.
So, how do you get it setup?
Follow the instructions on this wiki page to get setup:

Inappropriate?Am I missing something here? I already have Ping updating my social networks when I post there. Coming here to post there doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I don't need notify.me posting updates. This site is notify.me not notify.everybody else.
Ping integration would me much more useful if this site sent DM's to my Twitter account when a site that I am monitoring is updated.
Like I said, maybe I am missing something. Please help me to see the light. :)
I’m confused

Inappropriate?Hey GageGecko,
The idea here is that ping.fm is a destination so you don't have to make an update to your social networks from your personal blogs or photo sites such as flicker and picasaweb, or anything else you care to broadcast out to people. So for example you can make a new blog posting to your personal blog and with notify.me it will route any updates made on your blog to your social network's status (so that you don't have to manually do it)
Think of it as a super syndication in real time. You can read a little more about this on the wiki:

Hope this shed's some light on the new feature. -
Inappropriate? The nice thing about the Ping.fm integration is that you don't have to manually post anything to Ping.fm... with notify.me if you have a feed for a calendar or a photostream online, you can hook it up to post to ping whenever something like that gets updated.
Once it's set up you don't need to constantly go post that you just posted something somewhere else. And no one needs to build plugins specially made for your RSS feeds to post to Ping, as long as it's a valid feed it will just work. -
Inappropriate?I guess I just had a different idea of what this service was about. I think it's the "me" in the name. Posting to Ping sends it to everyone else. The other features of Notify.me make sense, just not the Ping integration.
So, if I have it monitor my Flickr photostream, it will post updates to Ping when I upload a photo? Will it send one message or send an update to Ping with every photo I upload.
I only ask as most people don't just upload one photo at a time to Flickr.

Inappropriate?Yes, if you do it for flickr, it looks like it will do it for every photo, you can get rss feeds for specific tags on flickr so only certain photos would get posted. What it boils down to is, notify.me provides the pipe and you're free to do with it as you wish.

Hello Kol,
Thanks for your feedback, we're busy working on some other features at the current time and would like to support as many inputs and outputs as possible; however, I'm sorry to say that hellotxt support is not on our immediate road map.
