Email Authentication Question?
In the Email Authentication - Help section, i can't quite figure out steps number 5 till 9.
Do we have to inser "v=spf1 mx ptr include:sendloop-1.com ~all" in our DNS setings along with our webhosts DNS?
Can you explain more step 9? Not really sure where to insert TXT name and TXT text?
Thanks
Romico

Hi Romico,
You need to enter that SPF (and also DKIM/DomainKeys) record into your domain DNS zone. Let me give you an example:
You are going to send a newsletter and the from email address is going to be "romico@demo.com".
You will need to edit DNS zone of "demo.com" and add two DNS entries:
The first one is for SPF/SenderID. And the second one is for DKIM/DomainKeys.
Both these records should be entered as a TXT record in your domain DNS zone. You may refer to your DNS help documentation or contact your DNS provider support staff to learn more about how to add TXT record into your domain.
Let me know if my answer sounds a little bit complicated. I will do my best to explain it more detailed and step-by-step.
By the way, where is your DNS for your domain hosted?
Looking forward to hear from you.

Inappropriate?I use namecheap, would you be happen to know where i can entered TXT in namecheap? Meanwhile I'll have a look at their DNS help doc for more info.
Thanks for the answer, seems it depends on the domain hosts too. -
Inappropriate?Well, I don't have any experience with NameCheap. But I am sure there is a way to add TXT records in NameCheap. I think it will be better to check their help area.
Keep us informed, take care Romico. -
Inappropriate?Seems there no infos about "how to add TXT record" in Namecheap help section, and the live chat representative person also can't help me with this matter. I were ask to send a ticket and wait for their technical person to reply.
I'll keep update here. -
Inappropriate?Got answered by Namecheap, here's what they said:
Hello,
Our current DNS server has some limitations with implementing SPF. But, will look into the possibility of providing this option.
Hey Cem, what domain name hosts you're using? -
Inappropriate?Hello Romico,
We are using more than one DNS servers but I can suggest you;
These are good and reliable, take care. -
Inappropriate?I have figured it out,
The TXT record can be configure in "DNS zone" which can be found in (WHM) WebHost Manager account (reseller account). If you don't have a reseller account, then ask support to edit it.
I did a mistake looking for the "DNS zone" in my domain name control panel. -
Inappropriate?Hello Romico,
That's right, DNS zone should be edited, not the domain name control panel.
Have a nice day. -
Inappropriate?Hi,
I use Godaddy.com to host my domain name. Can you please help me set this up? I am a bit of a novice for things like that.
Thanks!
Eugene
I’m unsure
-
Inappropriate?Hi Eugene.
It has nothing to do with your domain name hosts. You need a reseller account or at least have HWM (WebHost Manager account) to edit the TXT records. Check your web hosts not you domain hosts
I’m excited
