Why don't I see gmail user under my open stats?

Inappropriate?It looks like the recipient of the gmail email has to click the "Display Images Below" link before SendLoop will recognize the email have been opened even though you can open and read the without clicking the link
I’m sure this could be fixed?

This is not a specific issue of Gmail. It's a common problem of todays email clients and services. Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, Outlook, Thunderbird and several others "block" images until recipient clicks "display images".
Unfortunately, there's no way to detect the email open without sending data to Sendloop servers. This can be done in two ways:
1) Displaying the images inside the email
2) Recipient may click one of the links inside the newsletter
If your recipients click "Always display images of sender ####@####.###" option, this will not be a problem in the future.
