Entering '&' or '!' in the 'name' field (guide creation step 3) produces a page with this message: "The URI you submitted has disallowed characters."

Thanks for pointing this out to us. We have been working on it and hope to have it fixed this month.
Until then, the only way to get around it is to enter the word 'and' instead.
