that the only black character isn't just used as a sounding board for racist jokes and misunderstanding of hoodoo. that he gets to be, hmmm...a real character like the others and not just "a black".

Inappropriate?This is a good idea, I'll try to make note of it in future strips. Sadly often times there is a problem with characters having to take the brunt of stupid comments towards their gender / race / sexuality / religion rather then just informing everyone else of their identity in a helpful and positive way. Good thoughts though, thankee!

A friend of mine who is a black magickian runs into this stuff all the time. He gets frustrated by the fact that pagans and non alike assume this
black + pagan = hoodoo
He rarely works with hoodoo tradition. :)
