Data security / Privacy / Trustability
The site mentions SSL, but how is data protected *on* the server? Are you a registered Data Controller? I'm concerned about storing my data on the site - it doesnt seem that reputable...no privacy policy / company number etc.

Pete,
Thank you for your input. You must have been pretty quick off the block to spot the error with the ToS's as they were changed after I spotted this error myself. I'm sorry that everything has not been 100% perfect for you but Olive was only launched to the masses yesterday and there have been many things to iron out, as well as ToS and Privacy Policies to sort out, minor bugs and emails.
I have always responded to you in a timely manner despite the above and will continue to do so in the future, you have no need to worry about Olive not being reputable, I have been in business 6 years this year, I don't intend on Olive ruining my reputation now :-)
I will get Adam to respond to you regarding the SSL plans and what has been put in place to safe guard your data.
I hope you will give Olive a chance, we're only on day 2 - even Basecamp had teething problems for 4 weeks after launch!

Hi Drew and Pete.
The terms and conditions and privacy policy can be read in full on the website.
http://oliveapp.com/terms.html
http://oliveapp.com/privacy.html
On the homepage they are also towards the bottom under Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
I hope this solves the problem for both of you.

Inappropriate?Hi Pete,
There's no need to be worried about storing data on the site. The privacy policy and terms and conditions are simply not linked at the moment, a simple error on my part. These will be available in the morning for you to have a read through and decide whether you find them suitible for you and your business.
I am also using Olive for my clients and security is of utmost importance to me too.
Thank you for your comments and bringing this to my attention.
Sarah

Inappropriate?I have a related issue to Pete - the signup page says that by signing up I agree to the terms and conditions, but as you point out yourself, Sarah, the T&Cs aren't linked.
Therefore there's no way to sign up... unless you're happy to agree to conditions you can't review, which would be madness.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I'm confused. It says it is a sole-trader business, then it refers to "You know who limited" on your ToS.
Still confused about how the data is secured on the server / safeguards in place. Any SLA for down-time / loss of data etc?
I was hoping to setup a few of the large accounts for some of the companies I own, but I would need furtuer assurange that this is a reputable business / company and a solid service. I'll have to come back in a few weeks and see if this has been addressed :-(
Certainly seems like a good idea, but I think some of the "business" aspects of this have been overlooked!
