Hey Ruth-So I got your message about using Flock. I just tried removing our Myspace toolbar from flock to test its removal process is working correctly. It seems to have worked just fine for me.
All you have to do is go to your FLOCK toolbar at the top, (where it says file, edit, history, etc) and just choose "TOOLS"
Then choose "Addons" and you should see our oneriot toolbars that you've downloaded there. Just hit uninstall.
you will have to CLOSE DOWN and RESTART Flock for the removal to take effect.
If you are still having troubles, please email me the exact name of the toolbar you are trying to remove, (we have several, campus toolbar, myspace toolbar, pulsechecker,) and we can move from there.
Thanks for your patience, and I sincerely hope this helps you out!

Inappropriate?I am certainly happy to help you uninstall OneRiot.
If you are using Internet Explorer the directions are as followed:
To completely uninstall:
Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Add/ Remove Programs -> Name of Toolbar ->
Remove
To disable:
In IE go to Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> Name of Toolbar -> Disable
If you are using Firefox, the best way to uninstall is by going to your firefox toolbar, selecting tools----->selecting addons---->and then choosing to uninstall OneRiot. You will then need to restart your browser.
Please keep in mind when you are removing OneRiot from your browser, you are looking for the name of the toolbar you specifically downloaded: this can be the Ultimate Myspace Toolbar, the Pulsechecker, etc.
Also to be removed from our mailing list, please go to: http://www.oneriot.com/unsubscribe/ and enter your email address.
Thanks for you patience in this matter, and if there is anything I can do to personally assist the uninstall, feel free to email me at jhodges@oneriot.com

I attempted IE 8 toolbar removal, but I could still tell that one riot is active. Then I removed my Google toolbar and I would still say that one riot is active. One riot is obnoxious, as it sets itself up as your homepage. How does one really get rid of it? -
Hey Steven, I'll do what I can to help you! When you say you can tell that OneRiot is still active, can you tell me what you mean? Do you see our icon in the toolbar? What is giving you that impression. (Knowing what you are seeing will help me with the uninstall.) Also, are you saying when you open internet explorer, it directs you automatically to OneRiot's homepage? That is an easy fix.
1: open up IE
2: click "tools" in the toolbar at the top of the IE browser
3. That should open a new window, click the "general tab"
4. Under "homepage" change it to whatever you want to open when you first start up IE
5. Click "OK"
Hope that helps. -
How I can tell that it is still active? For one, it established 3 links on my Google desktop taskbar and there is another item that I will not mention, just to keep Oneriot on the honest side.
I eliminated it from my home page by disabling and removing it from "tools" already and that stopped the obnoxiousness. It still remains on my Google desktop live links, though. I installed it through MS IE8, not Google, although I had both toolbars in Explorer. I guess that Google thought it was a great item and decided to link it to my desktop, because, I didn't. Why should I need to dump my Google desktop to get rid of Oneriot? -
Thank you for your patience. I have forwarded your question on to one of our product managers, and he should be getting back to you shortly. Thanks for hanging in there. -

Hi Steven,
So I checked with our product manager and OneRiot should absolutely not be interfering with Google Desktop, as our add-ons are for browsers.
Are you sure you uninstalled oneriot and did not just disable it?
Again, the uninstall instructions for IE8 are as follows:
control panel-
add/remove programs
remove all OneRiot/Me.dium/MySpace (This depends on the name of the add-on/toolbar you downloaded as they have a variety of different names.)
Hope this helps, I will be waiting for your reply. Thanks -
