Inappropriate? Thanks for your patience! Sorry that you're having some issues with OneRiot, but we'll do everything we can to help you out.
If you're using Firefox, the best way to uninstall is by going to your firefox toolbar, selecting tools----->selecting addons---->and then choosing to uninstall OneRiot. You will then need to restart your browser.
Let me know if this works for you, if not, we can go over what errors you're ha having and move from there.
Thanks-
Jenny
I’m hopeful

I am assuming that a recent software installation must have included oneriot as a feature. I did not notice it and I do not want oneriout as search feature in my browser. How do I get rid of it? -

I'm sorry that you aren't enjoying OneRiot. Is there anything I can do to help the situation? Your feedback is always appreciated. -
Inappropriate?how do you uninstall with internet explorer??
-
To completely uninstall:
Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Add/ Remove Programs -> Name of Toolbar ->
Remove
To disable:
In IE go to Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> Name of Toolbar -> Disable
Hope that helps-
Jen -
are you also using IE? Remember, there are different steps for different browsers. Also, after you have done each process, you need to restart your browser. Please give me some more details and what you are viewing, and I'll do my very best to help out.
Thanks for your patience.

Again, these are the steps that should work to remove OneRiot from IE. If you have errors for some reason in doing this, please give me the EXACT steps, issues, signs, etc that you encounter in the process so I can help handle appropriately.
Thank you for submitting your issue to us, and we will do everything we can to straighten it all out.

I’m spitting nails

Inappropriate?I'm having same problem...IE7. OneRiot shows up in search options...Not listed in programs nor is it listed in Tools - Addons. Can't seem to get rid of it. What now? Please help.
I’m frustrated
-
It does not show up as oneriot on the add/remove. it shows up as the Ultimate Myspace Toolbar. The people from oneriot know this....They could have said something. This is total BS !!!!!!!!!!!!
ULTIMATE MYSPACE TOOLBAR....REMOVE THIS> this is ONERIOT< -
Inappropriate?Hey - sorry for the confusion - The Ultimate Myspace Toolbar is another OneRiot toolbar, so depending on which one you have that is what you'll be hunting for in the uninstall process.
So yeah, just like THISisCRAP pointed out, an IE uninstall looks like: Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> Name of Toolbar (OneRiot or Myspace) -> Disable. -
Inappropriate?Nope none of this helps to remove it from my Flock Browser search window please tell me how to remove it,thanks.
I’m why????
-
Hi Ruth- I replied to you on the other board, but I wanted to add my response again here---just in case you read this forum first. :)
So I got your message about using Flock. I just tried removing our Myspace toolbar from flock to test if its removal process is working correctly. It seems to have worked just fine for me.
All you have to do is go to your FLOCK toolbar at the top, (where it says file, edit, history, etc) and just choose "TOOLS"
Then choose "Addons" and you should see our oneriot toolbars that you've downloaded there. Just hit uninstall.
you will have to CLOSE DOWN and RESTART Flock for the removal to take effect.
If you are still having troubles, please email me the exact name of the toolbar you are trying to remove, (we have several, campus toolbar, myspace toolbar, pulsechecker,) and we can move from there.
Thanks for your patience, and I sincerely hope this helps you out!

Inappropriate?I finally was able to get rid of OneRiot by deleting the addon for MySpace. (Which, I notice their rep never mentioned until she was called on it) Whew! It makes my head explode when a rep tries to avoid the request for information on how to uninstall a program by asking for "feedback" or suggesting ways to increase someone's enjoyment of the product. A real cult mentality.
I’m exasperated
-
I can definitely understand your frustration and I really apologize for not being more clear. I can assure you I didn't try to avoid calling it the "myspace" toolbar for any reason, except that we have created many different toolbars at OneRiot (facebook, myspace, pulsechecker, etc.) The initial blog post did not specify which one was downloaded, so I gave general uninstall OneRiot toolbar directions- not ones specific for the OneRiot Myspace Toolbar. I assumed that people would be able to specify which OneRiot toolbar they wanted uninstalled by the directions given, but I made a mistake with that. I should have been more specific, and I accept all responsibility for that. I do apologize for your inconvenience, and I am glad you were able to solve your problem. I appreciate your feedback, as I now can better my unistall directions.
Thanks,
Jenny -
Inappropriate?Alina-happy to help. What browser are you using? Are you on a Mac or PC? Let me know so I can find you the correct uninstall directions.
thanks for your patience,

Inappropriate?I also have this problem. I'm using Firefox 3.5.1 and have gone to length of disabling ALL my add-ons and searching through control panel add/remove and nada, zip nothing to indicate how to remove.
Its annoying as i cannot remember when it appeared. I did download Twitterbar2.5 add on but disabling that has made no effect.
I have no gripes with OneRiot, I just have gripes with things installing without my prior distinct permission.

Just a quick thought before I email a product manager....Instead of going through add/remove programs, have you gone directly through your firefox browser? At your FF toolbar, you should have an option that says "tools." Click it, and then select addons. You will have the option to disable or uninstall. Choose uninstall this time rather than the disabling option. Do this w/ Twitterbar as well, as OneRiot has some features within Twitterbar. Restart your browser, and see if that makes a difference.
If it doesn't, let me know and I will see what else I can do. You may have already tried this, but just checking! Thanks again for your patience. -
Inappropriate?and yes I've also unistalled the Twitterbar to see if made a difference and no it didn't. So I'm guessing not that then!
-
have you done this directly through the browser and then restarted? Also, we have a number of different add-ons that include OneRiot....such as our Facebook and Myspace toolbars, as well as our pulsechecker. They are not all labeled as OneRiot, so if you downloaded one of those, it would also explain how OneRiot is getting into your browser. -
Inappropriate?Ack! Richard---I am so sorry for taking so long to get back to you. No excuses at all. I have GetSat set up to ping me an email when someone writes, and for some reason I haven't been getting them. However, I should be checking this site regardless, so I completely apologize.
Let me go through your questions and see if I can come up with a remedy. If I can't, I will fwd' on to a product manager to take care of this asap. I should be writing back here today.
Thank you for your patience, and again, my sincere apologies.
I’m sorry!

Inappropriate?"I feel your pain," as a former President use to say...
Here's how to get rid of that stinkin, annoying search OneRiot...
Go to the search bar in the upper right hand corner of your browser. If you look real hard, you'll see a little drop down arrow to the right of the "OneRiot" icon.
Click on it and go to the "Manage Search Engines" and click on it.
You'll see "OneRiot" in the list. Click on it and then click on Remove!
Your peace will return like a dove to a calming stream...
