Slashdot has enabled OpenID login
Slashdot has enabled login via OpenID, hooray. http://demand.openid.net/site/slashdo... is not updated about this, though. The status is still "No OpenID login" there.

Inappropriate? It's pathetically implemented though. Not only do XRIs not work, but many OpenID URIs don't work either. Just try "blog.nerdbank.net".
I’m frustrated

Certainly something to take up with the powers that be at Slashdot. Not really something the Foundation can do anything about except be aware of it. -

Inappropriate? When I try to logon with my Yahoo! OpenID, I must also logon with my Slashdot username and password. I won't use Slashdot until I can just use OpenID...
I’m sad

Have you added your OpenID to your list at http://slashdot.org/my/password ? I suppose you have to register a Slashdot username/password first, to be used as a screen name and profile. I added my OpenID to that list, and haven't used my Slashdot username in months. Works great. -
Inappropriate?Unfortunately it is OpenID v1 only. I was unable to associate an i-name (OpenID v2) with my account.
I’m disappointed
