What do you expect from Oracle on Web 2.0? Last reply on March 11, 2008 19:02.
I work in our AppsLab. (www.oracleappslab.com). I would love to hear what customers of Oracle are looking to gain from Web 2.0 and what Oracle could provide that would be interesting.

I've found an annoying thing with Discoverer reports. Last reply on December 05, 2007 08:43.
We've got discoverer reports. When I click on a dropdown and there are two many values to display it says "more..." or something like that. When I click on more I get a popup window (slow to load) which then displays a list of the SAME VALUES I've just seen. I can then click on a link to give me the next lot (slow to load), and hopefully it's in that page, otherwise I have to click to get the next page.
I'm just a user, but it would be good if I could tell the programmers how to get round this. I would like to see:
1. The dropdown list contain all values or
2. The popup page to load with the next page of results, not the one I've just seen. -

I got a user-tracking question...
Usually when I'm trying to track the users that logon/off a DB I implement a trigger that fills a table with the info. Problem is, I'm dealing with upgrading a 7.3.4 database right now, and the triggers don't support it. Is there any way of tracking exactly who logs on and off a system on 7.3.4? -

How about a few Metalink improvements? Last reply on September 17, 2007 07:32.
Just a few points which I thought would +really+ improve the use of Metalink:
1. When viewing SRs, the actual title of the browser window is the same as the URL of the page being viewed, because the HTML of the page being viewed does not contain the <title> tags in the HTML source. It'd be great if the <title> tags contained both the SR number and title, e.g: <title>5186843.993 | UNABLE TO CANCEL PO 1113328</title>.
Presumably this would be a simple change for you to make, and would really improve things, because if I have a number of windows open, it is useful to refer to the title of that window to see what I have open. Additionally, if you set this up, it would mean my browser history would contain meaningul information, as the title of pages are achived in the History (at least in Internet Explorer and Firefox).
2. The same applies for the pages displaying Notes - at the moment the <title> just says <title>ShowDoc</title>. That's not a lot of use - how about also following a convention like:
<title>Note:356335.1 | 11.5.10 ORA-20100 Error Occurred While Parsing: REQUIRED Attribute 'category' is not Specified</title>.
3. And - same again on the Forum pages - you could have <title>Forum Message Title | Forum Title </title>
These are small points, but with the potential to really improve the Metalink experience.</title></title></title> - 0 Replies 1 Follower
