Recently created questions in Oracle

Usually when I'm trying to track the users that logon/off a DB I implement a trigger that fills a table with the info. Problem is, I'm dealing with upgrading a 7.3.4 database right now, and the triggers don't support it. Is there any way of tracking exactly who logs on and off a system on 7.3.4?
