My blackberry freezes on reboot after installation

I installed the software. After installation, it asked for a reboot of my phone (8900 curve). My phone hangs on the reboot and won't move past the splash screen. I have pulled the battery a couple of times and it hangs at the same point. Any ideas on how I can get my phone working?
