Twitpic/yfrog image sending not working at all
Every time I try to upload a pic to TwitPic or yfrog, I just get a screen that says "Sending Your Media" but it's at zero and stays at zero without anything happening. Using ver 0.9 beta 5 on a 8220.

Inappropriate?Hi Furiosity,
Can you please send a Connection Doctor report for yfrog or twitpic? See our knowledge article at http://orangatame.com/support/?id=501... -
Hi Jason, thank you for your quick reply. I sent a Connection Doctor report for TwitPic just a few minutes ago from furynoarashi [at] gmail. I hope I did it right.
EDIT: Never mind. I don't know why, but I just tried sending to TwitPic on a whim and it worked! Weird; I haven't done anything to the BB, not even rebooted it. I'm very sorry for the trouble. -
Inappropriate? How are you trying to establish a connection?
-
Inappropriate?Jason im using my blackberry storm. The first time i sent a pic through yfrog & it worked. I switched it to twitpic & it stopped working. Now when i go back to yfrog it still doesnt work. I sent a connection doctor report.
Thanks

Hi Reese,
What mobile carrier/country?
Cheers,

Hi Alwyn,
Please confirm your TCP settings. Please go to TwitterBerry -> Configure -> Connection Doctor. Run the test. Click the "Lookup APN" menu for instructions to set the APN for your country and carrier. -
Hey Jason,
TCP confirmed, still not working, new reports been sent. -
Peter,
Please set your TCP settings. Please go to TwitterBerry -> Configure -> Connection Doctor. Run the test. Click the "Send Report to Support" menu. Click the "Lookup APN" menu for instructions to set the APN for your country and carrier. -
Inappropriate? Thanks Jason - Have sent the report (from @ariammedia probably). Setting the APN to the O2 wap option though is not a good idea for most on the O2 data plan.... is there no way we can use the Blackberry APN for Twitpic?
I’m concerned about data usage

Inappropriate?Sending to Twitpic (b4, b5) and yfrog (beta 5) hasn't been working for me. In Beta 5, I'm getting a "Network Request Failed". Tried running Connection Doctor, and BIS-B and Direct TCP are the only ones that come out OK.
My APN fields are blank, and "Lookup APN" brings me to a page full of what appears to be code.
I have a Storm 9530 in northern California, US, with Verizon Wireless. Are my APN fields supposed to be blank?
I hit "Send Support Logs" and "Send Report to Support" buttons, both from my @FCastrillo86 Twitter account.
I’m confused
-
This is my exact issue. Everything is the same except I'm in South Florida USA. Still looking for an answer. -
ok I checked online - my pics are posting to twitpic just not coming up in my updates on twitter. I am using the email ( when you sign up they give you a dedicated email for your account. nice) it updates pretty easy. But I'd still liek to be able to use the send to twitterberry option. -
Yeah I've been using the TwitPic pre-assigned email too. But I just wish that the actual "Upload to TwitPic/yFrog" worked.
Here's an idea: how about adding the option of emailing to your TwitPic address from within TwitterBerry? So those of us who update via email don't have to go "Home Screen -> Messages -> Compose New Email -> Add Contact" -
AppWorld just added another app - snap2twitter...it works with your camera, giving you the option of saving the picture or saving & sending as a tweet. I just downloaded it & it works great for me. Just like Twitpic. & it is automatic, but can be configured to just save the picture. I'll take it until the issue here is worked out. -

Inappropriate?Still no results for the twitpic not working. I have verizon storm, i'm in the United States, (Columbus, OH). I've sent a connection doctor report. any help would be appreciated.
thanks -
Inappropriate?Jason is aware that TwitPic is not working on some newer OS. He is looking into this issue I'm sure.
-
Inappropriate?my media says loading to 100% on twitpic/yfrog, but network request fails everytime. no problem if just a tweet. alltel now. had problem with 0.8 first so i installed 0.9-5 same issue.
-
Inappropriate?I'm finding it flaky at best. I upgraded to v 0.9 and (using TCP) had no problems uploading to yfrog. Having problems with Twitpic though (which is the media host I prefer). Have run Connection Doctor and sent results.
Please note: I saw the "Advanced" option where it allows you to manually set the APN info - does this work (assuming it is supposed to override what's in the BB default settings)? I ask because there's no way to save any changes I make here.
I’m cautious
-
The "Advanced" option is only for testing - it is not saved anywhere. -
Inappropriate?Just wanted to let everyone know that we are actively working on this and adding more diagnostic information for the next beta. We're definitely trying to get this working for everyone before the final release!
-
Thanks for keeping us updated. Can't wait for the new version release! -
Inappropriate? Please add me to the list of frustrated Twitter users that cannot sned a picture to my Twitter account via Twitterberry.
I’m grrrrrrrr

Inappropriate?Hi everyone,
I just posted TwitterBerry 0.9 beta 6 for download on your BlackBerry smartphone at http://orangatame.com/ota/twitterberr... . It includes a lot of diagnostics for sending pictures, and includes support for sending to Twitgoo!
If you are having trouble sending pictures, please download and give feedback.
Thanks!

this solves the problem

Only Beta 5 available from my Storm at the address you mention. I am also extremely frustrated that this does not work. -
the page says beta 5 but once you download it is beta 6. the page info probably wasn't updated just the link. I tried refreshing the link & the page said the same thing but I tried the download anyway.
Works great for me on my storm 9530. Twitpic issue resolved. Opens & updates quick. Download was quick & easy. Thanks for working on this issue! I love Twitterberry & this makes it perfect for me. I sent a test tweet & it worked the way it's supposed to.
Thanks again Jason & the Orangatame team! -
Inappropriate?People I think we are forgetting the thing that Twitterberry is free of charge, yes it might be frustrating, but we're all helping them to improve it. Storm 9500 still having the same problem only this time saying network problem.
Jason thank you for helping us and I ́m sure further updates will produce improvements although some might not sound appreciate about it. -
Inappropriate?Hello Gentelman,
I seem to be in a similar situation as you. However though when I attempt to upload pics my staus bar egts all the way to 100% and then just sits there. like a lump on a log.
I have sent a report for twitpic to the support.
Does this sound like an software issue or a confifurment issue on my end.
Thanks,
D -
Inappropriate?Sorry I meant to say "configurment" above. Still I have the same issues.
-
Inappropriate?I also can not upload to TwicPic but uploading to Twitgoo works great. When I try to upload to TwitPic it sits at 100% (like it's trying to finish) indefinitely.
-
Now uploading to Twitgoo fails. It also sits at 100%. So does uploading to Twitpic (still). -
Inappropriate?I'm running .9.0 Beta 6 and same problem on a 8330. VZW is my carrier. also I tried all 3 media upload sites .
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Fail upload to yforg, twitpic, and twitgoo. I use version 0.9 Beta 6. with 8320 curve , OS version :4.5 no data plan, connected via WiFi
error message : "network request failed"
I’m sad

This isn't my problem. I already have this set. -
Inappropriate?using a Blackberry Curve 8900 ... how do I send a connection doctor report?
-
Inappropriate?Setting the connection to TCP doesn't work for me on my 8900. I always get Twitpic stuck at 32 or 33% uploading full size photos (~580k).
What does work is resizing the photos (using BBFileScout) to 800x600 (~120k) -- then it works first time, every time.
So maybe Twitterberry needs bigger buffers or image resizing (but please, if it resizes, use a different algorithm than the Blackberry flickr app because that butchers the images)?
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Reducing the quality of the camera's output from "superfine" to "normal" makes the filesize of pictures quite a bit smaller but still no luck with twitterberry. Ubertwitter manages to send but that seems to resize the pictures to 600x400 (badly).
I’m frustrated
