    Edit Details
    Delete Screenshot
    Add to Favorites

There is a screenshot in my account that will not allow me to delete it

Feedback on the new ScrnShots Desktop Client Last reply on July 05, 2008 18:42.

Love the app so far... here are a few ideas. Perhaps if the new ScrnShots Desktop emulated a few other capture tools, us screenshot junkies would even need the others...

Specifically, in Skitch you can click on the title bar of any window or desktop and it grabs the whole thing - really quick and easy. With Paparazzi, you enter a URL and give it size parameters and pow - PNG. Both of these features would greatly add to the ScrnShots Desktop yumminess.

Longer Login Cookie Last reply on July 05, 2008 17:09.

I'm thinking the login cookie should last a little longer. Maybe it's just me? But I'm seeing it last only about a day. How about a month or so?

Opaque Layer on Screenshot Last reply on June 24, 2008 19:56.

When I take a screenshot from the windows client it adds an opaque layer to my entire computer and then I basically carve out what I want to take the screenshot of (crop), however my screenshot comes out still with a lighter opaque layer.

Screenshot done with ScrnShots desktop client: http://www.scrnshots.com/users/lwalle...

Screenshot done with snap and then uploaded (from file_ with ScrnShots desktop client: http://www.scrnshots.com/users/lwalle...

I am using Windows Vista Ultimate ... all patches and everything is up to date.

    There were no errors

Locking Picture After Upload Last reply on June 17, 2008 16:02.

I took a picture with a browser plugin and saved it on my desktop. I then used the desktop app to upload it to scrnshots.com. I have done this a bunch of times and I have noticed whatever the last file I uploaded I can't delete off my desktop till I either close the client or move onto to uploading another image.

How about tagging for all? Last reply on June 16, 2008 03:42.

I would love to have the ability to tag other users screenshots. You can see this type of functionality at Vimeo, and it works great. I see many users not using descriptions and tags and I think it's a shame.

Privacy Options Last reply on June 05, 2008 15:51.

Is it possible to mark uploaded screenshots as private? By this I mean in a similar way to services like Flickr and Delicious which allow you to hide public sharing.

"Flag as Inappropriate" link is poorly placed Last reply on June 10, 2008 15:07.

Why is the "Flag as Inappropriate" link so close to the "Favorites" link???????

I accidentally hit the "Inappropriate" link when I wanted to hit the Favourites link. Can this be adjusted, somewhat? I like the site and all, but this is a little like walking a tightrope.

Consider looking at Skitch for ideas Last reply on June 10, 2008 03:09.

First, congrats on your product, looking great and got awesome potential. I think you guys should look at Skitch very carefully. Some of the things that make me orgasmic about Skitch:

    - private screenshots
    - keyboard shortcuts
    - cache/history of taken screenshots
    - ability to send urls to screenshots with one-click (tinyurl style)
    - auto naming of the screenshot based on window title
    - possible subscription model (I would pay for a good screenshot service fo sho)

I am totally up for giving more feedback and look forward to seeing this local baby grow (I am in vancouver too)

Please add support for OAuth Last reply on June 04, 2008 20:59.

Like Flickr, there's really no reason why you should be asking for usernames and passwords in your app, or in your API.

    Please consider using OAuth instead:

Desktop Capture Tool - Some suggestions Last reply on June 05, 2008 15:36.

Greg - I was looking at the screencast for your uploading tool and think it's done pretty well.

Just a thought - the URL field could be auto-populated if we are capturing a web page. And for the tags, it could fetch suggestions from del.icio.us if people have already saved that page on del.icio.us before.

    Cheers & good luck.

I crashed it... Last reply on June 04, 2008 19:53.

So I just downloaded and installed ScrnShots Desktop for my Mac, and playing around with it, and I went to check for updates, and now all the options are grayed out, and I can't even quit it. Also when I was setting it up, there was no feedback when my user name was incorrect

Scrnshots should have alt and title attribute Last reply on May 14, 2008 03:05.

I think scrnshots should have alt and title attribute in img tag because my website is XHTML 1.0 Transitional, require the alt attribute for default.
