    Why do I only get preview mode after I take all the time to register my purchased book on your site? Last reply on December 04, 2007 17:47.

    I just registered my store bought book and hit the "read online" button. This takes me over to Safari, but only allows me to "read" previews. WTF?

    Buying the good O'reilly books is or becomes a problem !! Last reply on April 14, 2008 17:10.

    I have purchased a couple of good O'reilly books in the past from a well known bookstore in the UK called waterstones, and I very much enjoy some of the O'Reilly books. However I know wish to choose or purchase another programming book, and recently visited my local bookstore (waterstones again) and have been promptly informed that they no longer stock O'Riilly books in the store and can only order them, infact they don't stock any programming books in the store that are not published by or oriented toward microsoft, yet I wish to program on linux or simular. They said "Oh buy them from the internet". There is no real flavor of what you purchase by clicking on the browse this book, and there is no real feel of weather the book is good is appropriate by doing so. Couldn't you ask the bookstores to stock books like yours or O'reilly books instead of known monopolists. ?

    Could you please add SVG Open to your conference calendar? Last reply on March 12, 2008 16:38.

    SVG is certainly in the corner of subjects that O'Reilly works with, so putting SVG Open on your calendar should make perfect sense.

    I am planning on purchasing "Programming Collective Intelligence" pdf and was wondring what kind of drm it has. Can I copy paste stuff from it, can it be saved as text from standard pdf readers. The reason I ask is I need it for my ebook reader, so I can read easily.

    It seems like the term collaborative filtering is out of vogue, but is there really a difference?
