Could an internet version of the electronic iPhone Missing Manual be made available so it could be used on the iPhone? It would be very useful to have a version that could actually be viewed on the iPhone.
why the oreilly safari site is so unstable?? The oreilly site always works, but the Safari one remains 90% of the time down. I live in Brazil and I dont believe that the problem is here (internet backbone, routing problems). It is getting unbearable, because I pay for it, and so I should be able to use it.
Thanks
I'm wondering if/when you'll publish kindle versions of The Productive Programmer and Statistics in a Nutshell. Is there a list detailing the upcoming translations of books into their electronic forms. I'm specifically interested about kindle availability.
The only thing that's holding me back from getting a Kindle is that there are no O'Reilly titles available. You'd get a lot more revenue out of me selling me titles for a Kindle than you will out of my (often lapsed) Safari subscription.
With the announcement of the new Kindle ereader from Amazon, I'm wondering about O'Reilly support for this? It looks like the ideal platform for me to read O'Reilly books. I have purchased many of your books over the years, but the sheer weight of them means that I don't carry any of them with me except when I'm actively reading one.
What is the planned support for this device? It looks like the best ereader so far and I would love to be able to purchase O'Reilly books for it.
I cannot get the exercise materials on the web site for Learning Web Design to uncompress after I download them. When I try to extract the files I get a message saying "There is already a folder with the same name as the file name you specified..." How do I get the files to extract?
At the moment, I'm working at a German university library, and we're starting to include ebooks as part of our services. Since books on programming and specific software packages are in high demand (but also become outdated soon), I wonder whether it would be possible for you to offer your ebooks as part of the "national licence" program (www.nationallizenzen.de - contact page in English: http://www.dfg.de/en/research_funding...).
I am planning on purchasing "Programming Collective Intelligence" pdf and was wondring what kind of drm it has. Can I copy paste stuff from it, can it be saved as text from standard pdf readers. The reason I ask is I need it for my ebook reader, so I can read easily.
