I was working on it at home. I'm at work today.
I copied the code into a new application in the Flex 3 IDE.
It compiled without an error.
When I run it, I get this error notification screen;

Error: No class registered for interface 'mx.resources::IResourceManager'.

at mx.containers::Box()[E:\dev\3.0.x\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\containers\Box.as:157]

If I hit the proceed button, the program is just a blank screen in the browser.
I tried importing the classes mentioned at the beginning of chapter 8
but that did not eliminate the error.

For the MP3, I used code from another function that works just fine.
