does O'Reilly plan to have a head first for SQL Server 2005 or 2008? I hope so.

The next SQL related Head Firs title will be 'Head First PHP & MySQL'. We do not have any plans to release a Head First title on SQL Server in the near future. -

We don't currently have anything coming on SQL Server. Have you checked out Head First SQL? While that's obviously not SQL Server specific, it does have a ton of stuff that would apply.
Or are you looking more for details about installation, configuration, etc.?
