You don't have to purchase a subscription to use the 45 day free online edition that comes with the purchase of the book. Are you sure that you went to the address listed on that page with the coupon code? www.oreilly.com/go/safarienabled/

Inappropriate?I checked the last page as instructed on the back cover and it appears that I have to purchase a subscription to Safari in order to view my "free" online version of Dreamweaver CSC The Missing Manual. This is not "free" by any definition that I can think of. It is the same as telling me I can have a free head of lettuce, but first I have to buy a car in order to drive to the store offering the free lettuce.
