You received the correct discount on your order. As per the terms of the discount:
'Unless the offer message indicates otherwise, the promotional offer applies the discount across the books.'

Did you have all three books in your cart? The deal requires that you place three books in your cart and then check out with the OPC10 code.

Inappropriate?I may have just missed the box to put in the "OPC10" code, but I'd like to correct that omission. It was only because of this "Buy 2 get 1 free" offer that I purchased 3 books. I thought it was good deal. Without this "deal" I would have only purchased one book at this time. I've always liked and valued O'Reilly books, but I'll probably return to buying from book stores if this isn't resolved. If I were dealing with a person, I could easily resolve this mistake. Buying online, in my opinion, should be easier and better. If a promotion is offered, it should be forthright and easy to redeem. Perhaps I missed the opportunity to put the "code" in the right place, but is it hard for the company to automatically register the qualified purchase? O'Reilly?
I’m frustrated
