If I bought the book on paper, can I get the pdf
I bought a "Programming Perl" book on paper, but I would like to have a PDF edition so I do not have to carry a lot of weight everywhere. Is there any other way to do this other than by ilegally downloading?

Inappropriate?Turns out that Programming Perl, 3rd Edition, will be available in PDF tomorrow at http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/pperl3/ . What we can't yet offer customers is a bundled price that allows you to buy the print book and PDF together. We're in the process of upgrading our backend systems, and that feature will be available in Q1.

Inappropriate?I was wrong about Programming Perl, 3rd Edition, being available soon. According to Abby Fox in our production group, the book "was produced in SGML and we couldn't locate PS or PDFs for it (or a toolchain to reproduce them at this point)." They are now trying to get PDF files from our printer, though they probably won't be searchable, bookmarked, and linked like almost all our other PDF files are. It's not always easy to convert our books to PDF, and we're picking off the easiest ones first. Stay tuned.
