iPhone App: "iPhone: The Missing Manual" crashes when attempting to change display font
This problem report is for the iPhone Application: "iPhone: The Missing Manual"
I start the book application, then tap the center of the screen to bring up the options. I tap the gear to bring up the preferences page, then tap the font name to get to the font selection screen. When I attempt to scroll down the list of fonts, the list of font names starts to scroll down, then pauses for a second then the application crashed and I am returned to the desktop (or what ever you call the screens with the application icons on it).
I have tried several times and even rebooted my phone. (Turned it off, then back on.) I can select fonts that are on the list that are visible, but as soon as I attempt to scroll the list down, it crashes.

Via our contacts at Lexcycle, the company that we partnered with on this App (and the ones behind the Stanza App):
"This is a known bug. There was a font name available in iPhone OS 2.1 what was removes in OS 2.2, and we use the list of fonts that was available in 2.1. Unfortunately, the iPhone's reaction to trying to render a font that it can't find is to crash, rather than just falling back to a font that it does know."
"This issue is fixed in the current version of Stanza, so the next crop of stand-alone book apps won't experience it."
We do plan to update the App to incorporate this fix. In the meantime, please choose a different font.

Inappropriate?Thank you for your quick response. However, is there a time frame we can expect to see this bug fixed in your book app? I ask since the bug in Stanza has been fixed and since your app is basically a version of Stanza rebranded with "iPhone: The Missing Manual" as the title and the only book in it's database.
I don't mean to come off rude, it's just that there are not that many readable fonts to choose from (from my perspective) with only 7 to pick from.

I hope we'll be able to submit an updated version to Apple by the end of this week. (Then of course Apple must review and approve the update, which can take up to 5 weeks.)
