Just say no to Rails Conf in Vegas!
There's a discussion going around about moving Rails Conf from Portland to Las Vegas for the next two years. It's a terrible idea. I hate it. Others in the community hate it. Rails conf needs more _why and less Vegas.

Inappropriate?RailsConf Europe
2-4 September 2008
Maritim proArte Hotel
Berlin, Germany
http://www.railsconfeurope.com
There's Still Time To Register for RailsConf Europe 2008, 2-4 September in
Berlin. A month from now you could be in Berlin, a city hailed as "exciting,
beautiful, and friendly" by last year's conference participants. You could
be listening to the movers and shakers in the global Rails community--and
have the chance to meet and talk to them one-on-one. You could be among
the first to find out what's going on now--and next--with Rails
internationally.
Register now, at:

Inappropriate?Agree 100%. It won't be the same at Vegas. Personally, I can't think of a single category where I would pick Vegas over Portland. Specially, if you're flying from outside the country just to attend the conference and spend a few days around the city.
I’m sad, I love RailsConf at Portland!
