Why does O'Reilly have a whole zoo for a mascot?
Linux has the penguin, Wikipedia has the millipede, MySQL has the dolphin, et cetera, why does O'Reilly Media need a whole danged zoo? I'm just wondering.

Personally, I've always considered the Tarsier, "vi guy", to be our mascot. He is the most prominently featured on our website. As for why we use animals, you can find an article here:
