Inappropriate?Despite the obviousness of the browser refresh button, I also found myself searching for a "Refresh" button in the app. Maybe it's because all that javascript tricks me into thinking it's not a web app. In any case, an auto refresh would be nice.

Inappropriate?Yup I agree, my otherinbox is open the whole time when I'm online and refreshing from your browser gets annoying after awhile. Maybe there could be an auto refresh option so you can turn it on and off.

Inappropriate?I am wishing and hoping for this option as well. I tried using Fluid, a mac program that creates an actual application for a website which will auto refresh for you but otherinbox is blocking fluid use, causing a blank screen in fluid and redirecting to your main browser.
I’m frustrated
-
I know other people are using it in Fluid successfully and we have a custom Fluid icon for you to use. We'll investigate more. -
Inappropriate?Maybe, for the time being, - if you're on Firefox - you can use the ReloadEvery add-on.

Inappropriate? How often should your OtherInbox automatically refresh?
On the one hand, refreshing automatically every 5-15 minutes will mean receiving your emails in a timely fashion when you leave OtherInbox open for an extended period of time.
On the other hand, if my OtherInbox is going receive all the emails that I don't want to see and read all the time in my main inbox, why do I want to see immediately when a new email arrives?
I suppose this brings up the question of how OtherInbox is being used for you. Is it a way to combat spam with multiple email addresses? Or, a place to put your less important emails so that you can scan and review them quickly as they accumulate. -
Inappropriate? It's good to see that the auto-update feature is in the works: http://gsfn.us/t/lxw

Inappropriate?I think a fair number of people are, or will be, using OtherInbox as a primary inbox (or set of inboxes). Ideally, you'd want the message pushed to your inbox as soon as you get it, but if that's technically difficult, I think a refresh every 30 seconds would be more than adequate.

I think the current plan is an auto-refresh every 30 seconds. -
Inappropriate? The only time I want to manually refresh my email is when I've just signed up for something that requires me to take some action in an email they'll send me. With Mail.app, I sign up, switch to Mail.app, click "Get New Mail," and there it is. With OtherInbox, I'm never sure if it's checked recently, or if it's checking now, or what. So that's why I would like a "Get New Mail" button on the OI UI.
I’m right :)

Inappropriate? As a temporary fix, you can also now click on the OtherInbox icon in the upper lefthand corner to reload the Mailboxes and Messages without reloading the whole page (much faster).
We're still planning on adding the auto-refresh feature.

Inappropriate?Auto-refresh is here! Look for your OtherInbox to refresh automatically every 60 seconds.
