Click on message to open it fullscreen (or at least full tab\window).
I'd like to be able to open a message full window, not just in the message frame of the UI. Ideally for large HTML messages that I occasionally look at, they can be hard to read in the message contents frame.

Now, you can also double-click on a message to open it in a new window/tab.

This week's release now adds a "Print" button to open a message in a new window or tab, suitable for printing or for reading messages where the reading area may be too small.

Inappropriate?Sorry very true. The small window is the only 'con' so far and I really like otherinbox!!
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate?it would also be nice if you could disable the message pane if messages open in a full window
-
Inappropriate? This is actually a HUGE annoyance for me. I have never liked three pane.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?please, please - this is a major stumbling block to beginning to use OtherInbox for all subscriptions.
-
Inappropriate?I quit using otherinbox since it was so hard to read email. I was concerned also about the lack of response from the developers in this regard. It is way too obvious as an interface flaw.
-
Inappropriate?I've heard that same sentiment from others when discussing in person here in Austin. However, I also know from contacts in Austin that the developers are taking all these feedback comments seriously and working hard to create a great app.
Hopefully we'll see this soon! -
Inappropriate?I agree with all of you about the lack of "reading area" in the current app. The ability to open a message so that it takes up the entire page or to a new page would be a welcome addition. We'll work on making that happen.
Thank you for your suggestion!

Inappropriate?I'd also like to add that this would "fix" OtherInbox on the iPhone and/or N800 Internet Tablet devices as well. I tested the beta beta iPhone page and it looked excellent on the N800, other than the inability to open a message full screen, so I couldn't actually read anything.
I’m sad

Inappropriate? This is one of the most important and annoying flaws about otherinbox.com. You have no idea how long I spent trying to find out how to open the mail in fullscreen, and having failed to do that, I then spent ages looking for a FAQ with instructions on how to do it, and there isn't a FAQ either. I only found this post by chance. Please, please make this a priority.

Inappropriate?Having to click "print" when you really want to "open in full screen" isn't very inituitive, but it's a good start. I suspect many users who use desktop email clients would just expect that button to open a print dialogue instead of a new tab. Gmail users would expect a new window to open, but they would also expect the print dialogue to open automatically. otherinbox's print button behaves differently than both scenarios. I would suggest having a dedicated "full screen" or "open in new window" option, instead of having users figure out that the print button doesn't actually print but actually opens the email in a new window in a print-friendly format.
