Errors with my "Sending" email addresses
Hi there -- I hope you can help with this problem.
My Otherinbox Username is: AlanLB.
I have noticed a "duplication" of "sending" email addresses (by this I mean the name available for use before the "@" sign) in the drop-down list of email addresses I can "send" from when I want to send an email from my Otherinbox account.
If a mailbox is created automatically or manually, and I subsequently change the name of the mailbox, BOTH the original mailbox name AND the changed name appear in the drop-down list as being available to use before the "@" sign.
For instance, the mailbox "itrackminecom" was created automatically, and I changed it to "iTrackMine.com". In the drop-down list of sending email addresses I can use appears both "itrackminecom" and "iTrackMine.com".
I only want the "changed" name to appear in my drop-down list. In the above example, I would only want "iTrackMine.com" to appear.
How do I delete the names I don't want from the drop-down list?

To answer your question, currently there is no way to delete the names from that drop-down list other than deleting the mailbox that the address corresponds to.
Changing the name of the mailbox is not what created two email addresses for that folder. When the mailbox was created, it already had two email addresses. This is because of the "dot" in "iTrackMind.com"
If the mailbox doesn't exist beforehand and a message is sent to:
itrackmind.com@yourname.com,
The mailbox that is created is called "itrackmindcom" and the email addresses for it are:
itrackmind.com@yourname.com, AND
itrackmindcom@yourname.com
You could change the name of the mailbox to anything you wanted, but it would still only have these two email addresses.
Incidentally, if you then sent a message to:
itrack.mind.com@yourname.com,
This would not create a new email address. Maybe it should?
Do you have any suggestions on how "dot" addresses should be handled?
