Slow
Even with a reasonably fast computer, Google Chrome and a good internet connection, OIB is really slow. On my iPhone is it effectively unusable.

Inappropriate?Ken, in what ways do you find OIB slow in Chrome? What do you click and how long does it take for what you expect to happen to occur?
Does this also happen with any other browsers? -
Inappropriate?Hmm - I see my last response somehow didn't get posted. I was doing it from my iPhone, so maybe that was the problem. I'll try again:
I get about 5 seconds after logging in or when pressing the Messages button at the top. I also get about the same moving from mailbox to mailbox. Additionally, bringing up individual messages is slow, though I don't have an estimate on time for that. Really, I am not seeing the value of the Gmail "automation" - it makes it much more difficult to get to my messages because OIB is so slow. I think it would be better for me to simply set up the appropriate rules in Gmail to label and archive the messages.

Inappropriate?Hi Ken,
Thank you so much for your feedback! The details are really helpful.
If you were going to set up rules in Gmail, how would you label them? Right now we label everything "OtherInbox" so you can read the messages in Gmail by just clicking on that label. This gets you the benefits of OtherInbox's automatic filtering but the convenience and speed of doing it right within Gmail.
We're thinking about pushing up more labels than just OtherInbox. We're afraid to label each sender because Gmail doesn't handle having a hundred labels very well. But we were thinking about grouping them (and letting you customize it) into labels such as:
Entertainment
Home
News
Shopping
Social Networking
Travel
What would you want?
I’m thankful

Thanks for the reply. I use Gmail labels already, and most of the stuff would go into one label just like OIB does now. Mainly, all the stuff that I always ignore when it comes in and then go find when I need it. But a few things that OIB is handling now do need custom labels, like email from my banks, &etc.
So rather than auto-grouping, I would propose just giving me an option on each mailbox to add an additional label to messages coming in that particular mailbox.
But more than anything else, I'd really like to see the speed of the page loads and mailbox-to-mailbox transitions improve.
