Joshua and Hoon,
You both did a wonderful job diffusing an unpleasant situation. Hoon your last comments were absolutely perfect. Incredible professionalism on both your part, but xtra kudos go to Hoon.
I am not sure I really see a use for your system, except most users of gmail are not competent enough to set up the proper filtering for their inbound "Bacon" so, well you may be on to something after all. Maybe Google will sweep you up for a cool half billion or so.LOL
I am willing, if possible to have this stream removed from Get Satisfaction if you like.

Inappropriate? Not at all. All of your messages are still in Gmail and you can always access them there just like before. If you want to use our service to read the old messages then you need to pay, but you always have access to all of your messages because they are all still in Gmail.
I’m sad that you are upset without understand how it really works
-
Inappropriate?Well it is good to know that they are still there, but what a sleazy way to do business. Keeping peoples messages from them on your system really does not allow the potential customer the opportunity to evaluate your service.
I’m indifferent

Do you realize what the alternative is? If we implement a storage based "quota" like most mail systems, then when new mail comes in it BOUNCES and you never see it at all. We thought it was a lot more helpful to get rid of the old messages rather than the new ones that you probably want to see right now.
Your messages are yours. -
But you give the impression that you "take" all the email from my gmail account when you do the initial scan. Surely you are not telling me I can access my mail only for the previous 30 days with your system? No matter really, every piece of "Bacon" I receive has it own label so you system would, be completely redundant for me.
I do however think you need to more clearly represent your product. And remember now that Twitter rules the Intertubes when you piss off a potential or existing customer they can broadcast their complaint to millions of others in the Tweetersphere on the public time line. -
Thank you for your feedback and letting us know what areas we can improve, especially when it comes to how we introduce and explain OIB.
You can always take a look at what Twitter users say about us at http://twitter.oib.com -
Inappropriate?Again, we are not keeping anyone's messages away from them. The messages are still in Gmail. OIB simply copies the message from Gmail.
I am sorry that you feel that our free users are unable to evaluate OIB properly. We feel that for the majority of our users, access to their less important messages from Gmail in our application beyond 30 days may not be necessary. I know that for me, a weekly ad from an online store doesn't have a lot of value for me when it's a month old. But, even if I needed to see it, it's still in Gmail.

Inappropriate? What used to take me several clicks to filter in Gmail is now a simple new email addr in OIB, such as youdontgetit@cns.oib.com. Much easier!!!
-
Inappropriate?Hilarious...just got my first spam email to my "email" address above today...OIB grabbed it and kept it out of my inbox! Woo Hoo!
Check it out!!!
I’m exhilirated!!!
