New and improved My Profile section

We have been working hard to bring you some new ways to connect with people on OurPatch. You can now send internal mail to other users, add people as friends, and see who else is in your community.

You can access these features once you've logged in by clicking on the My Profile button:



This section has several new features - let's take a look at how it works.



About Me: Tell people about your favourite interests and a little about yourself. This is where you edit your profile information.

My Messages: You can now send messages to other OurPatch users. Just visit another person's profile to send them a message. If you add them as a friend they will then appear as a mailing option when you send new messages.

My Community: Here you can see who else is in your patch and invite friends to join. Just click on someone's photo to find out more about them, send them an email and add them as a friend.

My Activity: This section shows you how much you have contributed to OurPatch. The more you participate with OurPatch the better your status will be.

My Opinions: If you write a blog post or post something to the forums it will all be collected here.

My Reviews: Any reviews you post of businesses will be displayed in this spot.

My Lists: You can now share collections of your reviews with other people. If you've reviewed a few cafes in town, add them to a list so that people can easily find them.

My Bookmarks: When you're logged in most pages on OurPatch will now have a Save button. When you save a page it appears in this section.



You can also share pages with people on other social networks, such as Facebook or Twitter. Just click the Share button to get started.

My Businesses: If you have any businesses on OurPatch you can manage them all from here, including adding new events.

My Classifieds: If you have posted any classified ads they will appear in this section.

My Calendar: Your own internal OurPatch calendar which you can use to remember which events you're going to.

On events pages you can now indicate whether you are going to an event. This lets other people know who's going. Just click on the My Attendance link - the event will also be added to your calendar. If you don't feel like sharing, just click on the Mark Calendar link and it will be added to your calendar.
