Inappropriate?Improvements?? Never!
Yes, we have some planned fixes/improvements related to text highlighting, but can you be more specific? What modes do you have issues with? Can you show us some example code that causes the issues to show up? That way we can determine if your issues are known issues or not.
Thanks! -
Sure, Les. For example, in CSS, if you comment out one line (ex text-align: center), it doesn't turn the value green.. so "center" would not be green. There are also some problems with commenting large blocks of HTML code in PHP/HTML syntax mode. For some reason, for example, when I type in "è" it turns the rest of that line green (comment?) The autocomplete doesn't seem to work with single quotes, as well. -
Inappropriate? The commenting issue is known and fixed for the upcoming Coda 1.5 release. So, we can cross that off the list.
I'm not so sure about the latter issues.
Commenting large blocks of HTML in PHP/HTML syntax mode works fine for me in Coda 1.1. So I'll probably need an even more specific example. In other words, give me a full page of code, tell me exactly what block to select and comment out, tell me exactly where to type the "รจ", etc. The more closely we can mirror what you're doing, the faster we can solve the problem.
I'm not sure what you mean by autocomplete not working with single quotes. Tell me exactly what to type in and at what point I should be noticing the problem.
Feel free to email any code samples directly to les@panic.com if you like.
Thanks again! -
Inappropriate? Thanks for sending me some example code. The issue with commenting large blocks of HTML in PHP/HTML syntax mode is fixed for Coda 1.5. So is the problem with "è" turning the rest of the line green.
The issue with single quotes is a previously unknown bug, so I've logged that to be fixed.
