eDirectory LDAP authentication
Can Panopto use LDAP authentication (not Active Directory)? We have an OES Linux server (eDirectory) that is also set up as an LDAP server. Can we authenticate this way?

Inappropriate?Currently, the only LDAP provider that we support is Active Directory. We are always looking to integrate with other providers in the future though.
It's also worth mentioning that if you're a supported customer and are using Blackboard or Moodle, we have single sign on with those LMS's. If they integrate with your LDAP provider then CourseCast will authenticate (through the LMS).

Although we don't yet support non-ActiveDirectory LDAP implementations, we have had a few requests and are considering this for a future release.
As Dave said, your students can authenticate to CourseCast via the Blackboard/Moodle/Angel (due soon) LMS systems rather than to LDAP directly. This is available in CourseCast 2.2, due in August, for customers with Panopto support contracts.
