How can I advance Powerpoint without switching between it and Panopto?
How do you advance Powerpoint without toggling back and forth between Panopto and Powerpoint? If you're using it as a desktop presentation recorder, I can't believe that every time I want to advance a slide in PPT I have to use Alt-Tab to toggle to PPT, then hit Alt-Tab again to go back to Panopto. i realize this toggle back and forth isn't visible to viewers, but it's a big pain for the presenter.
I keep thinking there must be a control somewhere in Panopto that will advance the PPT slides without having to switch back and forth between programs. Can someone help me with this?

Inappropriate? As long as the PowerPoint checkbox is checked and you are recording, Panopto will capture every PowerPoint slide change while you are in full-screen slideshow mode. You don't need to switch back to the application - just start your presentation and go, and Panopto will do the rest. If you have any trouble with this, please contact support@panopto.com.
Hope this helps!

Inappropriate? Thanks but that doesn't answer my question. How do the slides get advanced? Remember, I set this up so I'm sitting at my own desk, recording as I present - and I can't advance the slides without toggling out of Panopto into PPT, advancing the slide, then toggling back into Panopto. How to I advance the slides without doing this? I know it captures the changes, but how can I DO the changes without continually toggling between the programs? I can't use automatic slide changes - I need to advance them manually.

Inappropriate?Had a nice talk with Andy at Panopto - the answer is that there is no way to advance PPT from within Panopto. It helps to know that I'm an old TV type, so I must be able to watch the video feed. I won't minimize Panopto while recording - I need to have the recorder screen up and visible. (Andy says that most presenters minimize the Panopto recorder and don't monitor the video - that would drive me nuts.)
The best workaround if you have a two-monitor system is to put the PPT in one monitor, Panopto in the other. That makes it easy to advance the PPT slides on one monitor while keeping the Panopto window open. Otherwise I'm stuck with ALT-TAB to get back and forth between Panopto and PPT.
I’m reconciled to this.
