Is it easy to change the CourseCast configuration to a secure login?
I installed CourseCast w/o too many problems, but realized that I really want to use the secure login feature (https). I see that I can change that under the Admin. settings, but is that all I need to do?

Inappropriate? As long as you have a valid SSL cert installed on your server, then yes, that is all you have to do.
If you set "SecureLoginPage" to True and the site becomes unresponsive, you can revert by going into /inetpub/wwwroot/web.config and finding that value and setting it back to False.

Inappropriate?Guess what? It didn't work and attempting to reset following your suggestion doesn't work for that setting is not in that file.
I can now login to the main page but cannot log into the admin page.
I’m sad

I guess I should have made a backup copy before making changes. Live and learn (or uninstall and reinstall I always say.) -
Inappropriate?Sorry about that Randy. A quick uninstall/reinstall should fix this and revert to the default setting. Or you can install an SSL cert, that should fix it as well.

Inappropriate? That was my next step. No problem, as I am still in the pre-beta phase here on campus (it hasn't been rolled out to faculty).
Thanks for the answer!
I’m hopeful
