On miro my torrent downloads have been saying "starting up" for almost 2 days. How do I get them to start? one of them was half way through downloading but now it has been saying starting up for a really long time.
I've been attempting to shut off the visualization stuff (the moving shapes and colours) that are on the screen when an audio file is playing. I looked for a setting in the menus and options, but didn't find one. Please tell me how to do this. If it's not possible, please add a menu item or something in the options that can do this.
I tried to add the RSS for NewsHour with Jim Lehrer as per the help file. I.E. I clicked add channel and pasted the RSS in. Then I refreshed the channel but no files for download were shown. How can I correct this?
I have 2 Internet connections, Miro will only use my work setting, I want to use it at home. I have disabled the work Internet connection, uninstalled and reinstalled Miro but it keeps using only my work Internet connection
Miro doesn't show any text anymore. I don't know if it has something to do with firefox 3.0.1. Miro starts, and clicking on the buttons works, but as the image shows, there is no text giving titles, explanation or contents of the video file. Also, there used to be a preview image of the video, downloaded or available. These don't show anymore either.
When I click on the top icon in the channel window, to get the miro menu, with the available channels, I do get everything in the screen. Is there some kind of library I should install?
Ok, so I've been using Miro as media manager/player portal for a while now,
and it has several things I don't like:
1. Organization of media is a nightmare, no smart lists, newest playlist goes straight
to the bottom of your playlists, not arrange in alphanumeric fashion.
2. Miro often acts flakely in trying to organize playlists, especially when trying to re-order
correctly named alphanumeric named files within the playlist created
3. Full Screen mode often pops in and out after pausing for a few seconds,
say to answer the phone
4. Miro often acts flakey with my RF Remote
and I've been taking a look at VideoDrive.
I like the fact that iTunes is the backbone for it, and we all know how easy it is
to organize content and create playlists in iTunes. ;-p
But how does it compare to Miro?
As far as handling multiple video formats, etc?
I notice one of the things it does is to "wrap" content
in a Quicktime wrapper so as to enable it to playback in iTunes.....
Anyone whose used both for media playback / management,
please post your feedback. It will help in my decision to buy
VideoDrive or not....
How can I let Miro search and find my own videos I have on my pc, so that they get imported into miro? I would like to have an folder in miro, in which all my own videos are included.
i can't get Timo's Movie Trailers channel to download to folder the page is running i can download other channels but not Timo's --------I WANT THIS CHANNEL SO I CAN DISCOVER NEW MOVIES THAT I'VE NEVER HEARD OF & PROBABLY KICKAZZZZ!!!!!!!
I sometimes use uTorrent to download videos from Minova or Isohunt and usually it automatically and quickly goes straight into Miro as I press download. This is much faster with Miro, and I can watch its download progress. However, ever since I updated my Frostwire, the dialogue box appears with an empty/blank icon, saying its a Frostwire torrent, so nothing is there. Now, even though I've uninstalled Frostwire to stop it interferring, its still the same. How do I get it back the way it was??
Unable to uninstall Miro. Miro has caused my pc to slow down and even crash. Every time I try to uninstall I get the following message - "Uninstall has failed to launch". Please can anyone help?
error code 500 message internal server error
I get this message each time I start up miro, instead of getting the home page. I use windows xp.
Please help!!!
miro can't find my primary video directory (becuase it was on an ext. HD i no longer have) - without it, i cannot launch the program (it keeps asking me to re-create the directory, an impossible task without my HD). what should it do?
This may not be the place to ask this...
A relative, using a video camera with a Hard Drive, recorded my mother's memorial service. I was able to download the files to my computer's hard drive. They were all .mpg files.
When I asked Real Player, QuickTime, DivX and Windows Media Player to play the files, they failed. I downloaded Miro, and Miro can play the files.
Here are two questions:
My sister wants me to make a DVD of the files so she can watch it. If I make the DVD, will she also have to download Miro? If so, she will never be able to watch the memorial service, as she is even less computer literate then me. (and I am a dummy!)
Is there something in Miro that will let me record a DVD that can be played in a DVD player?
I'm not an english speaker so subtitles will help me to understand the video. Most of the movies downloaded from torrent sites come with subtitles. Please advise how to have them displayed when playing the movies.
