cannot download video podcast feeds
This Ubuntu podcast shows an episode of over 350MB. when I select download, it shows a 32kb file Unwatched - unplayable.
this means Miro will not download the Ubuntu podcasts? What is wrong?

I just tried that feed with Miro and the downloads for the first couple of items in the feed (episode #10 and #11) went ok.
It's very possible that when you tried it, the Ubuntu podcast site was having problems and whatever problems they were having are fixed now.

Inappropriate?If you visit that page with Firefox 3, it'll show you the enclosures in the feed. Try clicking on one of them and see if it downloads in Firefox 3.

Inappropriate?I downloaded part 1, an ogg audio file of 2.3MB through Miro - Firefox is currently getting Ubuvidcast7.avi at 3.5kb/sec (3.5 of 247MB). I just listened to part 1 and it stopped half way through! I need reliable resume - as I used to get with iTunes in XP. My speed is limited to 20kb/sec, though I can't always reach this speed.
What do you suggest? Can this be caused by a stuttering internet connection? I expect Firefox 3 will offer the most reliable download with resume. If I manage to get full episodes there and not through Miro, I will update. This means that I would do better to copy audio feeds to Rhythmbox and Video feeds to Firefox. I hope not. -

Inappropriate?I'm puzzled. I don't see a "part 1" or ogg audio file in the Ubuntu Podcast feed you mentioned, so I'm not sure what it is you're looking at.
I don't have problems with the Ubuntu Podcast. I'm not sure what could be causing the problems you're seeing. -
Inappropriate?This evening, firefox resumed - now Ubuvidcast7.avi has 3 hours remaining - 30.7 of 247MB downloaded.
Why can't Miro do the same job?
