when I export my channels in Miro 2.0 for Ubuntu 8.10, the path is entered in the file name and the file itself does not end up where the path points; it stays in the home directory

Inappropriate?That's bug 11245. It's fixed in svn already and the fix will go out in 2.0.2 which should get released sometime next week.
