HELP my miros not responding
not responding message and programme freezes. particularly when playing to end of new download. I countered this by stopping playback couple of seconds before end, but now it stops responding regularly anyway.( I have uninstalled miro and reinstalled).
When this happens there appears extra miro icons on the right of bottom toolbar as if there are lots of little miro babies causing the problem. laptop is dell xps t9300 processor with 4gig memory and 100s free hard disk space?? like the programme though :-)
all i do at moment is have to close programme and reopen but i does happen a lot

Inappropriate?This happens for me, too. I'm running Miro on Windows XP. I've been trying to figure when exactly this is happening, but so far haven't been able to pinpoint a definite pattern. I think the end-of-video crash may be more likely when other feeds are downloading at the time, but this is only speculation at this point. This definitely needs to be addressed in the next version of Miro.

Inappropriate?Similar problem here on a Vista machine. Near the end of some videos Miro will freeze and Windows will display "(Not Responding") in the window header. For example, I've been watching a number of videos from the Crooks And Liars stream and the current one froze with 4 seconds remaining. I have to kill the task and then re-start Miro. Screen grabs of the error dialog are shown below:

Inappropriate?Same thing happens in here, quite often..it seems the control buttons just don't respond, freezes up..I feel kind of frustrated but I always come back for more cause when it gets right is just so cool, great video sound quality, great variety of subjects, great compilation..Just Amazing.I see a great future ahead..Zazaaaa..

If you could attach any log files to that bug and provide any other information about your system, video file, anything happening at the time, it could help us track this down.

Inappropriate?Thanks JED. I haven't had much time to spend on this. Last night it crashed twice before I remembered to look for log files - but I couldn't get it to crash again once I'd found them. Typical.
Why not have Miro automatically report this stuff?
