How do I get rid of the controls on the video itself?

I just upgraded to "Version 2.0.4 (r9360)" on this Mac. I think I was running 2.0.something before, and so I believed this would be a bugfix upgrade, and not change the user interface drastically.

Apparently I was mistaken. Now when I play a video, there are 2 sets of video controls: the normal ones in the brushed-metal area, and a second set right on the video itself, obscuring the bottom 50% of the playing video.

<rant>If there's anything more pointless than showing the same set of controls on the screen twice, it's showing the same set of controls twice on the screen by obscuring the very video you're trying to watch. :-)</rant>

How do I get rid of this new second set of controls? I can't find anything in the Preferences or menus to turn this off. Or is this just a bug, and will be resolved in 2.0.5? If not, is the database format for 2.0.3 the same, so I can just download the old version again?
