How to import or assign already downloaded episodes to a feed?
Due to a problem with the latest Miro update I had to rename the directory ~/.miro and let a new one be created. Then I wanted to try something else and wanted to copy sqlitedb from the old ~/.miro to the new one. Unfortunately it was moved, not copied, by my file manager. So I accidentally deleted my sqlitedb. So I copied a pretty old one from an older backup to the new ~/.miro. The feeds and the directory structure (internal and on the harddisk) are the same.
Now it shows all my feeds and the internal folder structure correctly, but my already downloaded episodes are listed only in the media library, but aren't assigned to the feeds.
So how can I import or reassign the already downloaded episodes to the feeds?

Inappropriate?Unfortunately we don't have a clever re-merge yet, but it looks like a lot of people are interested in something that would do this. Does anyone have an example of an application that does a good job at this kind of thing?

Inappropriate?thanks for answering .. will look forward to a clever programmer's response
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?Dean, if I recall correctly, Miro 1.2.x had a function to assign files on the harddisk to a feed's episode. I'm not quite sure on this. If this feature wasn't in Miro, it was probably in Amarok or less likely in gPodder.
This way it was only possible to assign one file at once, which is a lot of work, if there are a lot of downloaded episodes, but it was possible. -
Wasn't in Miro, nor in Democracy Player. Indeed very annoying when you run into this issue. -
Inappropriate? This is a very frustrating problem as my bandwidth is only 348KBs. I prefer this program over iTunes. I use a USB external drive and windows XP on a Toshiba notebook (I'm embarrassed to say what processor it is). When windows gets a hissy fit and momentarily disconnects my external drive while doing Miro feed downloads it kills the connections to my already downloaded feeds and I don't know how to reconnect them to their appropriate feeds. Keep making it better folks. I love it.
I’m unsure it can be done shortly

Inappropriate?Below link has a workaround for itunes that applies to miro as well with some minor tweaks:

Inappropriate?I also have this problem. I have around ~500 videos, but miro thinks they are "external media". It would be great to make miro aware of those videos.
It is a problem. For example TED talks - Miro can not see the already downloaded videos. In the feed there are only "download" buttons on every video, on those already present in filesystem included.
I’m disapointed
