how to play mp4 in miro in Ubuntu 8.10
Environment: Ubuntu 8.10 on x86, installed, libxine-ffmpeg installed, w32codec installed, still cannot play the .mp4 videos within Miro while those videos can be opened without problem using VLC outside of Miro program. Any solution suggestions out here? Thanks a lot!

Inappropriate?look for the bad and ugly plugin packs — try searching the package manager for them... that's what I do when I'm in need :)

Inappropriate?Switch video playback to xine (Video->Options->Playback). Install the package: libxine1-all-plugins.
Restart miro and you should be good. -
