Inappropriate?I have the same proble. I can watch the video on hulu in my browser, but miro says I need to install flash player. I have installed/uninstalled through miro and it still does not work. Windows XP, IE7.
-
Same message here 2. I already have the current flashplayer. But only HULU shows are having this problem through MIRO & refuse to play. No problems watching any of these shows through FANCAST or HULU sites. -
Inappropriate?I have this same problem. Hulu reports I do not have flash installed when I access Hulu through Miro. However, I have Flash 10 installed and I can use Hulu normally through Firefox. Might be because I'm using 32-bit flash plugin on 64-bit linux and 64-bit Miro?
Specs:
Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit
Miro 2.0.1 (r9185) 64-bit
Firefox 3.0.6 64-bit
Flash 10,0,22,87 (flashplugin-nonfree) 32-bit -
Inappropriate?Miro had to disable flash on linux. So you will have to open the site in your browser.
-
Inappropriate?miro interface reports flash needs installing for hulu, though I have 10.x installed. Works on my desktop but not on my laptop. i can go directly to hulu site no problem with flash.
Only flash problem thru miro
Spec's:
Dell laptop Inspiron 2200
xga 1024x768
1.4ghz
1gb ram
XP SP3
Miro 2.0.1 (r9185)
IE7 7.0.5730.13
Flash 10.0.22.87 -
Inappropriate?Yes, a miro glitch, because flash is not an issue with watching any HULU shows anywhere else, i.e, through HULU, MSN, FANCAST, etc. regardless miro would have offered a nice convience, but it's anything but - have to watch at another website 4 now.

Inappropriate?galil, nansye, if you're using Windows, make sure you have the right Flash plugin (the one for Firefox) installed... download at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/othe...
-
Inappropriate?I downloaded flash 10 free and nothing. I can't imagine it is downloading the video the right way. File name is:
express_player-id=8523897&referrer=.swf
I have a Mac OSX 10.4.11
2 GHz Intel Core Duo -
Inappropriate? In general Miro can not play .swf files that are have been downloaded. We do scrape for YouTube, but not for all swf.
-
Inappropriate?i downloaded firefox web browser and then used it to install adobe flash. then it worked, perfectly.
I’m happy

Inappropriate? So? is this a marketing scam for firefox? Now, we all have to download firefox to watch hulu on Miro? I don't think so. I go directly to HULU and watch the shows there with noooooo problems at all. Finding i don't "need" Miro 2 much anymore anyway; so that is definitely not worth that effort.
I’m intelligent

I know this is old, but ignorance annoys me...
Marketing scam? Well, since Miro, an open source program, opens Hulu video by essentially incorporating Firefox, another open source program, into the "video window." So, if you can come up with a better open source browser (yes, has to be open source so they can legally put it in their program) that works on Windows, Linux and Mac I would love to hear about it. I'm sure the guys at Miro would too. -
Inappropriate?I thought I was having the same problem as Miro brought up the flash download page as I was trying to watch Heroes. It would not download, so I basically had it "open in browser," where explorer then downloaded flash, after which, I refreshed the page in Miro, and it worked just fine and I could watch full screen Hulu off of the site link in the Miro window. Not sure if this is working for everyone though.
I’m glad it worked when I tried it
-
Inappropriate?I agree with "nansye". However it's not surprising that Miro isn't 100% compatiable with all sites. Overall it seems to work pretty good.

Inappropriate?SG: read the posts FIRST! before posting your "unhelpful" info. I don't know if its a "comprehension" (comprehension means "understanding" what you read) issue, but your post definitely isn't helpful to anyone. But, maybe you don't understand what i'm typing here, either.
I’m being extremely helpful

ARGH I AM NAGRY PH34R MY CAPS!!! -
Actually, sg's solution is very helpful. And not a marketing "scam" for Firefox. You might read it again, if you are so inclined.
