Inappropriate?Hulu has an RSS feed that's only associated with a web page, not the actual video file. That means Hulu feeds are not actually Media RSS feeds, which are what Miro (and other audio and video podcasts) use. The big difference between these two things are the "media enclosures" that are in the Media RSS feeds. Enclosures link to URL's with actual video files to download.
For more info on Media-RSS, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_RSS
That said, we're adding a feature that will let people put Hulu shows (and other streaming only programming) in their Miro favorite channels. That's slated for Miro 2.0.

Inappropriate?Since that new feature might take some while to appear in a release, just add hulu.com as a new channel guide. Doesn't really work for me, since I'm not located in the US, but should do it for now.

Inappropriate?Good point, sg. To do this, just open Miro, and in the menu choose: Channels > Add Guide, and then paste in: http://hulu.com/

I think I'm probably using the new version of Miro at this stage. Miro is a terrific podcatcher cum torrent client - just great for that!
If it's not hard to do, a great enhancement would be making it, erm, legacy compatible with the non-media rss feeds mentioned above. Miro's implementation of Hulu is really just that it can render webpages with flash, right? I could set up a site link to www.nytimes.com in there, or no?
As a user who ditched cable tv for (yes, actually legal) online TV, that's not how I have been figuring out what to watch after I get home from work. I have been using the RSS feeds from Hulu in google reader to see what's new on Hulu among the shows I like. I had also been using google reader to browse through podcasts, and then downloading the programs I wanted to watch as temporary files. Numerous reasons why Miro is way better at the latter. But it can't handle the former? I would *really* like to do both in Miro some day, because it would allow me to use Miro for all my internet TV viewing.
Right now, I'm using this: http://www.feedtwister.com/feeds/87a0...
And this (it's not just Hulu ;-): http://www.feedtwister.com/feeds/c227...
And Miro, of course.
If Miro was capable of handling non-media RSS feeds, the home screen might display the following in one single program:
NBC News / Nightly News With Brian Williams [file downloaded]
Democracy Now / Latest Episode [file downloaded]
Family Guy / Latest Episode [Hulu Link]
It's still a great package as it is. I guess I'm just being demanding.
...but if it's not too difficult...please?
