When a video is deleted from YouTube does that video get deleted from my hard drive?

Inappropriate?no - if you download a video to your machine you are in control of whether or not it gets deleted. For items you want to keep, you should be mindful of your expiration settings, which you can override by selected Keep (or delete) on an individual item.1 Comment

Thanks. The items that vanished from my PC (after I selected keep during the first play) were from user accounts that have since vanished from YouTube. -
Inappropriate?I'll look into this further to make sure we don't have a bug hiding in there somewhere. Was this with version 2.0.4?

Inappropriate?You may have hit the right area. I'm currently on 2.0.4 but everything that is missing would have been stored prior to the version 2 upgrade. I wonder if the videos are still there and just not showing in the "Library" tab?
Any search suggestions? I'm a retired Help Desk nerd so I'm OK with search work.

Inappropriate?There was a bug found in 2.0 after it was released where things got deleted: http://bugzilla.pculture.org/show_bug... - we fixed it and pushed out 2.0.1 pretty quickly, but if you went from 1.2.8 to 2.0 - you may have suffered from that.
