Miro closes / quits after finished playing video, or skip/stop actions triggered (using Xine for renderer)
Using Miro 2.0.2 on Arch linux (not sure if this is present in other distro's) the program exits abruptly without error under these conditions, using Xine gui version 0.99.5, xine-lib version 1.1.16.2:
1. The end of the play queue is reached (current video if set to play one at a time, or after the last one if playing one after another)
2. The stop or forward/reverse skip commands are issued
No error in log or in the terminal, just exits silently. Does not occur with gstreamer (which is how I've resolved it for myself, now that I've loaded all the gstreamer plugins to handle the codecs I need).
I was viewing divx, xvid, etc avi files and h.264 mov (Timo's HD movie trailers) type files... didn't test beyond those. The Timo vids are likely a good place to start if wanting to reproduce the issue.
Anyway, not a big deal to me personally as gstreamer solved it but reporting here for anyone else experiencing similar, or any devs who want to look into it.

Inappropriate?Whoever packaged the packages that you're using should look into disabling the xine xvhack when building the packages. There's documentation in the setup.py file. Anecdotal evidence suggests that fixes the issue.
I haven't been able to reproduce the issue, so all I know is anecdotal.
The company says
this solves the problem

Inappropriate? Thanks for the info. I'll try checking it out, tho with gstreamer working fine I'm not as motivated as I was ;)
I’m thankful for an explanation
